There is no way to be avoid it.
Since I've gotten all of my questions about who won last night's Emmy via my Twitter feed, I browsed Style.com to get my fix of the red carpet fashion winners and losers. Here are some eyegasms:
January Jones, in Atelier Versace = THE WINNER IN MY BOOK! Absolutely GORGEOUS and STUNNING dress everything from the cut to the color. This is like the princess dress we've always dreamed of as a kid.
Claire Danes in Armani Privé = classy, luxurious glitter and shine
Anna Paquin in Alexander McQueen = priceless
Toni Collette in Valentino = I'm a sucker for grays and floral. Such a perfect blend.
Rose Byrne in Gucci = you can do no wrong looking like a Greek goddess.
Emily Deschanel in Max Azria Atelier: 1) I love Emily Deschanel cause I think she is gorgeous regardless and 2) I am a sucker for anything purple.
Emily Blunt in Dior = please refer to above comment
Sarah Hyland in Pamella Roland: UMMM WHAT?! Loved the dress but it took me a second to realize this is Hayley from Modern Family!! This girl is 20 but looks like she's 24!
Nina Dobrev in Zuhair Murad = just all around beautiful!

Random thought.
life on a crackberry...
My friend and I were just talking over dessert yesterday what our lives were like before our dependency on our technological gadgets. We talked about how we would use to actually follow through with our plans of meeting someone and keep our promises and responsibilities. Now, a text is all we need for us to get rid of our responsibility, our commitment. In a sense, it has made us more cowardly than ever because instead of being honest and telling the truth vis-a-vis, we've resorted to hide behind a text message. Haven't you ever sent a text to someone because you're too afraid to tell them the truth? To actually face the consequence? It's sad because I am guilty of that but it's also frustrating because I've been in the position where someone left me hanging over some ridiculous text excuse. I kind of miss talking to people...Wednesday, June 16, 2010

a foreigner in my own land...
I really should get those pictures from my fast-pace one month trip in Asia up. It takes forever sorting them out.
I've been trying to fit a lot on my plate since my trip back. I barely breathe before I dove right back into summer school (yuck!) and work. I also took up the time to volunteer at a public school to gain experience for my teacher's college application this year yet for some reason, I still feel like I haven't done much...!
For now, enjoy the first batch of photographs from my trip. For once I enjoyed being recognized as a tourist...!
to be continued....
